ATLAS
Atlas Gutierrez
Atlas Gutierrez was born in the year 2000 in the Orange County area. The region provided an array of ways to entertain the young creative mind. All that was needed was a pencil and paper and it was all too easy to build an extension off the existing world.
With time, influences from Greek and Egyptian mythology emerged with the interest in the natural world and collided with an intense fascination of the question of, "What if...?" Suddenly the world became so ambiguous. The fine line of what exists and what could possibly be began to go out of focus. These thoughts were second nature to Atlas' mind. The result of this was a passion to visually express this curiosity.
Available opportunities were taken through grade school to develop the skillset needed for creating on a professional level. The first taste of the visual arts came through attending "Benton Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School" and taking courses that versed the students in a variety of artforms. High school developed skills further in traditional art and introduced ceramics. In 2018 Atlas graduated with a "Visual and Performing Arts" pathway sash. In Fall of the same year Atlas attended California State University Fullerton, declaring as an Art major with a concentration in illustration and graduating in Spring 2023.
